Evelyn Freeman, "Didn't It Rain?"



Gospel from.. '64?

Freeman comes from a family of musicians (her brother Ernie played with The Platters, I think..).

I heard it on some old Crypt Records compilation. Probably 'Talkin' Trash Lookey Dookey'.

I kind of want to start a new DJ night just so I can play this track over and over.

PS 'Didn't It Rain' is also a pretty decent Songs: Ohia record.
